The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar on Tuesday, met with the Party’s South-East Stakeholders in Enugu State.
The meeting is a continuation of his consultation with Stakeholders across the six Geo-Political Zones.
The Enugu State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, who welcomed the Presidential candidate, was present in the meeting.
It was reported that the Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, the Senator representing Enugu East Senatorial district, Chimaroke Nnamani and others were evidently absent at the meeting.
Governor Ikpeazu, a strong ally of Rivers Governor, Nyesom Wike, is among those calling for the resignation of the PDP National chairman, Iyorchia Ayu.
CEOAFRICA had reported that Senator Chimaroke Nnamani was listed in the APC’s Campaign Council.
It was reported that during the course of the meeting, Sen. Nnamani was showing his admiration for the APC presidential candidate, Ahmed Bola Tinubu, via his Social Media account.
He wrote; “HE Tinubu is my friend, brother and colleague. I have great respect for him, his political antecedents and strides in governance. And I am very proud and well pleased with him. Anybody with belly aching should go himself.”
