As the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) officially inaugurates its Presidential campaign council and launches Atiku’s book on Wednesday, the National Chairman of the Party, Senator Iyorcha Ayu; the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike; the Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde are evidently absent.
The Governors of Benue State, Samuel Ortom; Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu, Enugu State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and Prof. Jerry Gana are also not in attendance.
However, those present at the events are; Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, Sokoto State governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, Akwa Ibom Governor, Udom Emmanuel, Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri, Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki and Governor of Adamawa, Ahmadu Fintri.
The Former Presidents of the Senate, David Mark, Abubakar Bukola Saraki, Anyim Pius Anyim, Board of Trustees (BoT) and former President of the Senate, Adolphus Wabara, former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Gali Na’aba.
Also present are; House Minority leader, Ndidi Elumelu, Acting National Chairman, Amb. Damagum, former National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus, Former Vice President, Arch. Nnamdi Sambo and other members of the party National Working Committee (NWC) and a host of other stakeholders of the party.
