The European Union’s Land-use change and the Resilience of Food production systems in South-West Nigeria (LucFRes) invites the public to a one-day knowledge exchange workshop.
The event, which is titled, “Land Use and Food Production Resilience”, is slated to hold on Thursday, 6th October, 2022, at Prof. Adebowale Training Hall of the Institute of Agricultural Research and Training (IAR&T), Ibadan, at 10:00 am.
The main aim of the workshop is to initiate a process of progressive dialogue with stakeholders for co-designing resilient farming systems within the geopolitical zone.
The keynote address will be delivered by Prof. Malachy Akoroda, a professor of Agronomy, at the University of Ibadan.
The workshop, which is being convened by Prof. Lucia Ogunsumi, Head of Programme, South West Farming Research and Extension of the IAR&T and Dr Felicia Akinyemi, a Marie Curie fellow, will be hosted by Prof. Veronica A. Obatolu, the director of the institute.
The event, featuring several activities aimed at fostering resilience in farming, will have many stakeholders including researchers, policymakers, agro-processors, extension specialists, among others, in attendance.
