The Zamfara State Government has closed down two Local Governments till further notice due to persistent insecurity challenges.
The two Local Governments are Anka and Bukkuyum.
The Commissioner of Information, Alhaji Ibrahim Majaji made the announcement on Friday.
He said; “All movements are henceforth restricted in the aforementioned local governments and towns.”
Also some roads leading to some towns and villages were also closed down.
The affected roads are: Colony to Lambar Boko road; Bakura to Lambar Damri road; Mayanchi-Daki Takwas to Gummi road; Daki Takwas to Zuru road; Kucheri- Bawaganga – Wanke road; Magami to Dangulbi road and Gusau to Magami road.
Also closed down are Danjibga and Bagega markets where animals belonging to suspected terrorists were sold to the general public.
Dosara noted that security personnel had been directed to deal ruthlessly with anybody found violating the restriction order.
He said; “By this announcement, security personnel are hereby directed to deal ruthlessly with anyone found violating these orders”.
“Government sincerely regrets any inconvenience caused to the general public by these measures.’’
