The Flamingos, on Friday, qualified for the semi-finals in the ongoing India 2022 U-17 Women’s World Cup.
This is the first time the Nigerian team will be reaching the last four in the competition.
The Flamingos defeated the USA team on penalty to reach the semi-final.
After a 1-1 draw, the Nigerian women team beat their USA opponent 4-3 on the penalty.
Recall that CEOAFRICA had earlier reported that the Flamingos, had never advanced to semi-finals in the last six editions of the U-17 Women’s World Cup.
