The Vice Chancellor, Chrisland University, Prof. Chinedum Peace Babalola, has been nominated by the Women in Management, Business and Public Service (WIMBIZ), along with four others, as the WIMBIZ achiever of the year 2022.
This is contained in a message by the association, stating that the laurel is in recognition of her laudable contribution in the academia; the award is to be presented today, Thursday, 3rd November, 2022, at the Eko Hotel and Suites, in Lagos, during the association’s 21st annual conference.
The conference, with the theme, “Firing Forward: The Future in Focus”, is expected to hold on Thursday 3rd and Friday 4th, both physically and virtually, with the award presentation holding tomorrow, Thursday at exactly 3:00 pm.

Describing her feeling over the honour, the first female professor of Pharmacokinetics in the country stated that the organization does not just honour any kind of person; thus, for them to have considered her worthy of such honour, it is a thing of joy.
“Initially I didn’t even know I would be given an award. I was contacted via email. I usually get a lot of mails, in that regards. Albeit, when no response was given, the organisers or administrators of the WIMBIZ called me, and I said wow! I have read about WIMBIZ. I know that it is actually an organization with topnotch women in business. I was excited, I mean why will WIMBIZ look for me of all the women achievers in the country,” she said.
Other prospective recipients of the merit award include Prof. Felicia Adetowun Omolara Banjo Ogunseye, Prof. Deborah Enile Ajekaiye, Prof. Laraba Gambo Abdullahi and Prof. Bolanle Awe.
