The Russian local authorities on Saturday said a fire incident at a cafe called Poligon, in the Russian city of Kostroma killed 15 people and injured five others.
It was reported that the blaze erupted in the early hours of Saturday after someone used a flare gun during a dispute.
Authorities said the fire started at around 2:00 am local time and was put out at around 7:30 am.
According to a source, who spoke with newsmen said a drunk man with a “flare gun” might be the caused the fire.
The source said; “He was spending time in the bar with a woman, ordered her flowers with a flare gun in his hands.”
“Then he went to the dance floor and fired it.”
Rescuers were able to evacuate 250 people and the roof of the cafe collapsed during the fire.
The Governor of the Kostroma region, Sergei Sitnikov had earlier said 13 people were killed, but emergency services then said the remains of two other people were found.
“Two more bodies were recovered.’’
‘’This means the number of victims is now 15.”

A criminal investigation has been launched and the police are searching for the person who used the flare gun.
Kostroma, a riverside city of 270,000, is located roughly 340 kilometers (210 miles) North of Moscow.
It isn’t the first time that pyrotechnics caused a deadly fire at a recreational venue in Russia. In 2009, more than 150 people were killed in a blaze at the Lame Horse nightclub in the city of Perm that erupted after someone set off fireworks.
