Ruqayat Rufai, the Minister of Education representing President GoodLuck Jonathan stated this at the inauguration of the Federal Government sponsored transformation projects at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO).

The Minister of Education revealed that N30 billion has been released by the Federal Government for the payment of earned allowances in all public universities.

She also noted that the inaugurated projects were in line with the Federal Government’s commitment to providing quality education in the country and also based on the need assessment exercise conducted by the Federal Government in Universities.

She however enjoins the FUTO university administration to engage in research for national development, and also maintain the completed projects properly.
