The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), has reassured residents of the maximum securtiy of their lives and property.
This was contained in a statement by the Director of Information, Muhammad Sule, on Friday.
Sule noted that the FCT Security Committee met on Thursday.
The Security Committee assured that adequate security arrangements have been made to sustain the State of law and order.
Sule said everything possible is being done to checkmate the activities of criminally minded persons.
According to the Director of Information, the meeting discussed kidnappings in rural areas of the territory including the Yaba axis in the Abaji Area Council.
The Security Committee noted that the security agencies have adopted proactive measures to fish out the perpetrators.
The Directorate of Road Traffic Service (DRTS) gave an update on the ban on commercial motorcycles in Abuja.
On November 16, 118 commercial motorcycles impounded were crushed in Durumi District.
A total of 300 more impounds were also crushed at Area 1 under the bridge, totaling 418.
The Security Committee further appealed to the residents to cooperate with the security agencies by volunteering information about criminals.
