Suspected ritualists kill two security men in Ondo

Suspected ritualist have attacked the Headquarters of the Akoko North-East Local Government Area of Ondo State and killed two security guards.
It was reported that the gunmen, after killing the deceased, cut their heads and hands. The attacks took place in two different locations in the town, on Saturday.
According to an eyewitness, who spoke with newsmen, one of the attacks took place at the popular Mimiko market, while the other one happened at the NASFAT schools in the community.
The eyewitness said; “The deceased was found in the pool of blood this Saturday morning. The gunmen killed one of the guards and cut off his head and placed the head beside his body. The other man’s hand was cut after he had been killed, and the dismembered hand was also placed beside him. The killers did not take anything from the deceased before they left the scene.”
The eyewitness noted that the way and manner the suspected bandits carried out the attack raised the suspicion of ritual killing.
The Ondo State Police Command confirmed the incident.
The Ikare Police Division has moved the corpses of the deceased to the mortuary of the Ondo State Specialists Hospital, Ikare Akoko.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs Funmilayo Odunlami, during an interview with newsmen said; “We have commenced an investigation into the incident.”
