A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State and former House of Representatives aspirant, Ilesanmi  Ade-Ademola (Brainbox) has dismissed the recent endorsement of the Labour Party (LP) Presidential candidate, Peter Obi by former President Olusegun Obasanjo describing it, as a clear case of hypocrisy and betrayal of Yoruba race.
Ade -Ademola, Director of Youth Mobilisation of the APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) for Ekiti Central Senatorial District, in a statement made available to journalists in Ekiti said it was rather unfortunate that the former Nigerian leader is fast becoming a liability rather than an asset to Democracy.
With his unpopular endorsement of the LP candidate, the APC chieftain said Obasanjo has once again shown his open hatred for the Yoruba race.
“Obasanjo’s verdict on Peter Obi is rather coming too late as Nigerians have made up their minds to vote Tinubu as their President come February 25 and one million endorsements from OBJ cannot change it -” Ade -Ademola said.
The DG of the Rural engagement for Bola Ahmed Tinubu (REBAT) therefore advised Obasanjo to engage in a more profitable and dignified enterprise rather than dancing naked in the market square.
He argued that it was unthinkable for a supposed elder statesman to choose Peter Obi over and above the former governor of Lagos State and APC Presidential flag bearer, whose track record in leadership and governance has been acknowledged locally and internationally.
He said; “We are not too surprised by the recent unpopular endorsement of Peter Obi by the former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo. From time immemorial OBJ has remained a clog in the wheel of the progress of the Yoruba race.
“No wonder, Obasanjo could not lay claim to any tangible achievements accrued to the Southwest region throughout his tenure as military and civilian President.
