In line with the President Muhammadu Buhari's administration to boost agriculture and food for the citizens, the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has officially handed over the Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services buildings at Idi Shin, Ibadan to the Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology, Ibadan.
The handover ceremony took place Wednesday, February 1st at  Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services buildings at Idi Shin, Ibadan  which was witness by  many  guests and stakeholders  of the duo establishments who commended the initiative as a positive move to help the college to contribute its quota to education, human and national development. 
Addressing the audience at the event, the college Provost, Dr A.O Owosibo was well pleased with this development, describing it as a boost to the services of animal production which is the cardinal aim and value of the college.   He assured that the facility handed over will go a long way to support education of animal health which is imperative for national development. In line with the vision of the college, Dr Owosibo further guaranteed that the facility will help the college to contribute to the development of Nigeria through training of qualitative manpower.
The provost  said that FCAHPTIB will kick start opertion with immediste effect on the facility  .  He further stated that the college is leaving no stone un turned towards ensuring that the institution  becomes the leading  Animal Health and Production Technology college   in Africa.
 The Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development was represented by Dr Kakulu Omonele, who is the Oyo state coordinator. In her handing over speech, Dr Kakulu asserted that: “the Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology, Ibadan is so honoured because it is one institution mandated to produce highly technical animal health technologists for our teeming populace and the world at large.”
Present at the colourful occasion are some Directors of the college: Dr Banjoko, Dr Ajayi, Dr Oladipupo. Dr Funmilayo Ogunleke, Depty Provost (Admin); Dr I O Ayodeji; Deputy Provost (Academics): Dr F.O Ajasin, (Director of Academic Affairs. Others include: Mr N.A.Jolaiya,
