According to the popular saying ‘be the one that stands out in the crowd’ is the beautiful story of Prof. Chinedum Peace Babalola, the Vice Chancellor of Chrisland University, Abeokuta, Nigeria, and renowned Professor of Pharmacy; as THE PEAK PERFORMER (TPP), a platform promoting positive insights for achieving peak performance, recognised her niche in educational excellence and service.

According to the organization TPP, they sent out a survey and received 1,683 entries, and a team of experts chose the top 100 peak performers in various sectors of career and business, which the vibrant Professor made the list. This is of truth the assertion that if roses were not special plant, no one would notice them.

Prof. Babalola is an outstanding performer in the academia. An African Union laureate.

A Nigerian Professor of Pharmaceutical chemistry and Pharmacokinetics. Her research works have been focused on ethics of human research, pharmacogenetics, clinical trials, drug interaction PK/PD, and non-communicable disease (Sickle Cell Disease and Cancer). She developed a novel High-performance liquid chromatography method for the analysis of quinine in biometrics.

She is the first female Professor of Pharmacy in the University of Ibadan, FAS and FAAS and the second female Nigerian FAAS. The incumbent Vice Chancellor of Chrisland University, Nigeria is a recipient of several fellowships, awards and grants.

She is clever, courageous, inspirational, and crazy.

Premised on these stallion qualities, she was honoured as recipient of the 100 Peak Performers in Africa under Excellence in Educational Service 2022 on Thursday, 23 March 2023 at Muson Centre, Lagos, Nigeria by THE PEAK PERFORMER (TPP).

Expressing her feelings to CEOAFRICA, Prof. Chinedum Peace Babalola was gratefully thankful to TPP for taking time to look out for her in her corner to identify what she is doing. “It is unique honour to be singled out for recognition as this which is a booster to do more. I am so grateful and glad about this feat. I want to use this medium to thank everyone that is part of my success because a giant is only one because he is standing on the shoulders of other giants.” She remarked.
