Dominicans - Order of Preachers; founded in the year 1216, is set to hold the Celebration of the Conferment of the Academic Title of Magister in Sacra Theologia, (STM), by the Master of the Order of Preachers on Rev. Fr. Prof. Anthony Alaba Akinwale, STL, Ph.D., STM.

The celebration which is billed to hold Wednesday June 7, 2023, will begin at 10:00 am WAT with a Thanksgiving Mass at St Thomas Aquinas priory, Samonda, Ibadan. This will be followed by his first Magistral Lecture, entitled: "Subiectum Theologiae: On the Tasks and Allies of Theology" at the Tom and Carolyn Walker Hall, Dominican University Ibadan, Samonda Campus, Oyo State.

The event is scheduled to feature different top personalities from Academia, the State and the Church. Professor Akinwale is a renowned Professor of Systematic Theology and Thomistic Studies. The erudite professor is the Pioneer Vice Chancellor of the Dominican University, Ibadan.
