From Kenya, CEOAFRICA.com gathered that President Uhuru Kenyatta has sounded a tough warning to drug lords in the country.

It was gathered that the president made this declaration when he visited one of the most notorious drug dens-Mwemba Tavari. He said his government will ensure it wipes out drug trafficking which has placed many young lads in the country under threat.

According to him, war against drug traffickers will ensure that the welfare of the youths are safeguarded. Mombasa country has a record of over 32,000 youths abusing different kinds of hard drugs. He said the youth must be protected from the menace in order to live positive and productive lives.

Sources disclosed that Mombasa government Hassan Joho conducted a raid of drug dens in Mwembe Tavari area, leading to the arrest of hundreds of youths and street urchins found in the area.
