The Director-General for National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC), Lanre Gbajabiamila has revealed the readiness of the commission to fiercely battle with the high level of unemployment in Nigeria.
He made this known during the last 2-Day International Gaming Conference held last weekend in Lagos themed "Innovation and Disruption: Core Strategies For Success".
He stressed that gaming is an effective tool to combat unemployment and low revenue in the country and this will be achieved in Nigeria through articulated Lottery Regulations to enhance rapid economic growth.
Gbajabiamila boasted that this present digital era has reshaped the persceptive and engagement of people in the gaming industry.
In addition, he announced his intention to launch a Central Monitoring System (CMS) for the collection crucial data.
In same vein, Minister for Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Zephaniah Jisalo, in his speech expressed his profound joy towards the programme and he promised that the Federal Government will ensure that the Gaming Industry continues to be an agent of sustainable growth and development.
Moreover, he beseeched all operators to strictly adhere to the rules and regulations of the Gaming Industry to aid strong inter-agency collaboration and incessant progress.
Many dignitaries attended the event, among were Minister for Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Zephaniah Jisalo, Chief Executive Officer for National Lottery Fund, Bello Migari, Commissioner for NCC, Dr. Aminu Maida represented by Adeleke Adewolu, the Deputy Director-General for National Lottery Authority of Ghana, Anna Miezah and many others.
