The former Minister of Information, Mr Labaran Maku has given a week ultimatum to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to correct the irregularities in the party’s primary election.

Maku gave the warning on Saturday while addressing his supporters from Wakama Village in Eggon Local Government Area of Nasarawa state.

He told his supporters that he had already filed a petition to the panel set up by the national headquarters of the party challenging the outcome of the primaries.

He said that he would take a decision and seek for peoples mandate directly if steps were not taken to correct these anomalies in the next one week.
“Since they think they can short-change the names of delegates and intimidate them, we will see how they can short-change and intimidate the members of the public,” he said.

He vowed to purse his ambition on another platform if corrective measures are not taken to correct the anomalies.

Maku urged his supporters to remain calm and law abiding, stating that he will keep them posted.

He told his supporters that the president meant well for the country hence they should support the re-election bid of President Goodluck Jonathan in 2015 for consolidation of development of the country.
