The 2014 Glo-CAF Awards will have only one Nigerian for in contention for African Player of the Year (APOY) after the final shortlist was announced by Caf.

This is because CSKA's Ahmed Musa failed to make the final list.

Gabonese midfielder Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Nigeria goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama and Ivorian midfieder Yaya Toure made the final top three for the 2014 African Player of the Year.

Votes are from Head Coaches or Technical Directors of the National Associations affiliated to CAF.

For the African Player of the Year (Based in Africa), Algeria's Akram Djahnit and El Hedi Belamieri are in contention with DR Congo forward Firmin Mubele Ndombe.
