President of PSN, Professor Cyril Usifoh, advocates for better health care practices in Nigeria

Professor Cyril Odianose Usifoh, the President of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN), has sent  a warm Christmas and New Year message to all Phamcists across the country . 

The erudite Professor of Pharmacey emphasized  the importance of prioritizing health and well-being during this festive period.

As Nigeria prepares to welcome the year 2024, Professor Usifoh called upon individuals to take prompt and excellent care of their health by seeking professional help from Community  pharmacists instead of resorting to self-medication. The President stated that self-medication often leads to drug misuse and abuse, which can have severe consequences on individuals' health.

Recognizing the common practice of self-medication within the population, Professor Usifoh urged the public to consult a pharmacist, who can provide the appropriate guidance and advice for any health issues. Pharmacists are well-equipped with the knowledge and expertise to address various health concerns, ensuring the proper use of medications while avoiding potential risks.

In his message, Professor Usifoh wished everyone a healthy Christmas and a peace-filled New Year. He encouraged Nigerians to prioritize their well-being, emphasizing that good health is vital for enjoying life's festivities and creating cherished memories with loved ones.
