APC petitions NSA over insecurity in Ekiti

The All Progressive Congress (APC) in Ekiti state has petitioned the National Security Adviser (NSA), Col. Sambo Dasuki, to probe into this alleged compromise of the security of the State.

The petition which was signed by State Chairman of All Progressive Congress, Chief Jide Awe, noted that‎ even though there were pockets of security breaches, disregard for law and order and persistent threats in the state during electioneering campaigns and after elections.

Copied in the petition are: President Goodluck Jonathan, Inspector General of Police, Alhaji Suleiman Abba, Director General of DSS, Mr Ita Ekpeyong , Ekiti State Director of DSS, Mr Samuel Tamuno and Ekiti State Commissioner of Police‎, Mr Taiwo Lakanu.

In a reaction to the petition, the State Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) dispelled the claim by the opposition party as false distress call raised by Awe to cover him from been prosecuted for an alleged murder charge.
