A young man identified as Adeleke who is a survivor of the explosion that occurred at Dejo Oyelese Street, Bodija, Ibadan, Oyo State on Tuesday night, has narrated how he lost his elder brother, Oladipupo, in the incident.

Adeleke told a local broadcasting station, Lagelu FM that they were at a hotel in the area playing tennis.

He said his brother decided to go out to attend to something when the explosion occurred and sent a sharp object that gave him a deep cut in his stomach with his intestine gushed out.

According to him, Oladipupo was rushed to the Adeoyo General Hospital immediately after the incident but did not survive.

Two lives were reportedly lost in the unfortunate incident with over 77 persons injured.

Governor Seyi Makinde, who visited the scene of the explosion the same night, assured that those responsible for the incident would be brought to book.
