SENATE ASSEMBLY GETS A THUMB-UP FOR THEIR UNWAVERING POSITION ON THE SAME SEX MARRIAGE

Applause has been the accorded to the Nigeria National Assemly by Mrs. Lydia Odedeji, wife of the Anglican Bishop who acknowledges the national assembly for their resolution on the issue of same-sex marriage in Nigeria.

CEOAFRICA news desk has gathered this statement from the presidential address delivered by the wife of the Anglican Bishop at the Lagos Diocese’s Women’s Guild 14th Annual Conference.

Mrs. Lydia Odedeji, at the conference also pleaded for the government and all stakeholders to work earnestly towards the timely resolution of the ongoing ASUU industrial strike.

She also deliberated on security issues in Nigeria, urging all Nigerians to pray harder for the nation that God may intervene in the battle against abduction, arm robbery, assassination and kidnapping.

She as well called for concerted efforts from the government aimed at tackling unemployment problem in the country so as to eradicate the surging crime that has eaten deep into the nation's economy.
