PDP candidate has been declared winner of local government election currently held in Offa Kwara State.

CEOAFRICA news desk has learnt this from the declaration of the Kwara State Chairman of Independent Electoral Commission (KWSIEC), Dr. Uthman Ajidagba who said also that PDP councillorship candidates also won all the 12 wards in the local government area.

The KWSIEC chairman indicated that Mr. Olanipeku, the PDP candidate polled 35,937 votes against 20,161 votes scored by the APC candidate, Mr. Saheed Popoola in the election and therefore qualify to return as chairman of Offa Local Government Area.

Meanwhile APC chairman in Kwara, Mr. Shola Iji, said the party would not accept the result declared by the state independent electoral commission.

The APC chairman however calls for immediate announcement of the authentic result of Saturday’s rerun in Offa, stressing that the one already announced will not stand.
