The Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN), Lagos State Branch is set to decorate Dr. Margaret Ilomuanya, an Associate Professor and Senior Lecturer at the Department of Pharmaceutical and Pharmaceutical Technology, Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Lagos, with the Merit Award (MAW) of the Society.
Not far from her giant strides across the globe in the pharmacy profession, the honour by PSN Lagos will during the society’s conference holding on 12th May 2024.
The many brazing impacts and research works of Dr. Ilomuanya as well as her active involvement in public health engagement through medical outreach programs to underserved regions in Africa, has earned her this prestigious MAW award among many international recognitions as a pharmacist and drug developer.
Ilomuanya is a principal investigator on international and national grants with over 80 peer reviewed publications. She recently received a prestigious grant alongside 10 other Africans from the Grand Challenges Africa (GC Africa) initiative for groundbreaking research projects and innovative proposals that aim to address some of the pressing challenges in health and agriculture in Africa.
The PSN Lagos award is another testimony of her display of excellence at providing solutions to the many contemporary health challenges of the world.
