Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 elections, met with former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar in Abuja on Monday.

Abubakar, who was the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 elections, announced the development in a post on his official X handle.

“It was my honour and privilege to host @PeterObi today. -AA,” Atiku wrote.

The meeting was the first between the two politicians since the end of the general elections last year.

Also, Obi paid a visit to Sule Lamido, former governor of Jigawa, at his residence in Abuja.

Lamido was governor of Jigawa from 2007 to 2015.

The details of the meeting were not immediately known.
