Late Vice-President of Zimbabwe, Dr. Joshua Nkomo
News reaching the desk of CEOAFRICA.com indicated that the National Museums and Monuments in Zimbabwe has resumed work on the reconstruction of late Vice President Dr Joshua Nkomo’s statue.
It was revealed that the gigantic statue would be erected at the intersection of 8th Avenue and Main Street in the city of Bulawayo.
Speaking to establish this, director of the museum, Dr Godfrey Mahachi said preparations for the erection of the statue are on course. He said, “We have started work on the construction of a podium on which Dr. Nkomo’s statue would be mounted. Other preparations have been taking place outside the site and right now our teams are working on site and we expect the project to be completed very soon.”
Furthermore, the Museum boss declared that the statue is being kept at the Bulawayo History Museum as government is working assiduously with the Bulawayo City Council to erect the statue.
