Harnessing the Future: National Training/Workshop on Cooperative Reform in Ibadan

The Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (FMAFS), in collaboration with the Federal Cooperative College, Eleyele, Ibadan, is set to host a significant training and workshop event titled "Renewed Hope Cooperative Reform." This event will take place from April 29th to April 30th, 2023, at 10am daily, in the New Lecture Theatre Hall of the Federal Cooperative College.

The training workshop aims to engage trustees, management committees, and managers of cooperative societies across Nigeria, with a particular focus on the South-West region. This initiative reflects the government's commitment to strengthening cooperative societies, which are vital for economic development and fostering community resilience.

Senator Dr. Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi, the Honorable Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Security, a prominent advocate for cooperative empowerment and development, will grace the occasion as the special guest. Dr. Ibrahim Abdulganiyu, the Provost of Federal Cooperative College, will also welcome participants and provide valuable insights into the college's role in enhancing cooperative education and practices.

The workshop will encompass a series of sessions aimed at addressing the challenges faced by cooperative societies, promoting best practices, and facilitating effective governance and management. Participants can expect to gain invaluable knowledge and skills that will enhance their capabilities in fostering sustainable cooperative practices.
