A former Anambra State governor, Peter Obi, says he wants a working country and is not desperate to become Nigeria’s president.

Obi, who contested under the Labour Party (LP), came out third in the 2023 election, losing to President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

But two years down the line, the former governor said he is desperate to see Nigeria working. He spoke on Saturday during an Anniversary Sabbath service held at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Umuahia, to celebrate Governor Alex Otti’s second anniversary.
