From the ongoing G20 Summit in Russia, CEOAFRICA.com gathered that US President, Barack Obama is pushing for support so that US military can launch attack on Syria.

It was discovered that leaders of France, Turkey, Canada and the UK gave Mr Obama strong backing, while Russia remain firm on its decision that Military attack should not be launched at Syria. The head of the UN, Ban Ki-moon, has also denounced talk of military action, calling it "ill-considered".

According to sources, the US request has brought division to the G20 forum. President Vladmir Putin’s spokesperson said some countries were demanding "hasty action", while others stressed the importance of the UN Security Council. Yet opponents of urgent military action appear to far outnumber supporters at the summit.

Mr Ban Ki-moon said the use of chemical weapons in Syria could lead to more sectarian violence. This means that UN must look for another $3.3 billion to deal with Syrian refugee crises up till the end of 2013.

Speaking in line with UN Secretary General’s view, World Bank president Jim Yong Kim said the refugee situation was "disastrous", and required "all hands on board".

"As a medical doctor, I've seen the pictures; I've seen the medical data. It really is appalling," he said.

It was alleged that Syrian government attacked civilians with chemical weapons: an allegation denied by the accused.
