The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has officially released the timetable for its 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II Orientation Course, outlining key dates and activities for prospective corps members.
According to a statement issued by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, the orientation exercise will be conducted simultaneously across all 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory.
The 21-day programme is scheduled to commence with the reception and registration of prospective corps members on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. Registration will close at midnight on Friday, April 24, 2026. The swearing-in ceremony is also slated for Friday, April 24.
The orientation course will run until Tuesday, May 12, 2026, marking the conclusion of the exercise nationwide.
The NYSC management also extended its goodwill to all mobilized graduates, wishing them safe journeys to their respective orientation camps. It reiterated its longstanding advisory against night travel, urging prospective corps members to halt their journeys by 6:00 p.m. and seek safe accommodation at designated locations such as corps members’ lodges, military formations, police stations, or traditional rulers’ palaces before continuing their trips the following day.
