Nigerian businessman and politician, Ned Nwoko, has appealed to the public to give his estranged wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, privacy and space to focus on her recovery amid growing public attention.

Nwoko made the appeal in a message shared on his Instagram page, addressing Regina’s fans, friends, bloggers and social media commentators.

He urged members of the public to show compassion and refrain from making judgmental comments about the actress, noting that she had endured significant challenges and needed love, encouragement and support at this time.

The politician said his appeal was also motivated by the well-being of their children, who, according to him, deserve to see their mother supported as she works towards getting better.

He expressed particular concern over the spread of false reports about Regina, including fabricated death announcements and misleading publications concerning her health and personal circumstances.

According to Nwoko, the actress comes across many of these reports online, and their circulation has caused her considerable distress.

“I make this appeal not just for her sake, but also for the sake of the kids, who are very well cared for and deserve to see their mother supported, loved and given every opportunity to get better,” he stated.

Nwoko further warned social media users and bloggers against deliberately publishing false information about the actress, particularly for clicks, engagement and online attention.

He disclosed that publications spreading fabricated stories about Regina were being documented, adding that those responsible could face legal consequences.

He maintained that he would not tolerate the deliberate circulation of false reports about her death, health or private affairs.

Nwoko reiterated that Regina deserves an opportunity to recover without being subjected to constant speculation, misinformation and public pressure, urging the public to respect her privacy during the period.
