10M JOBS TO CREATE BY NEPAD, NGO IN NIGERIA.

New Economic Partnership for Africa's Development(NEPAD) and the United States based African Diasporan States(UADS) to create 10 million jobs in Nigeria within 10 years.

 

 Prof. Brimmy Olaghare, the Executive President of the Organization said that UADS was founded in 2001 by Africans based in the US to partner with NEPAD in the job creation sector; the organization is also to assist African States in the area of Socio-economic growth, development projects and programmes among others.

 

He said that when started, the Scheme would engage Nigerians in meaningful sources of livelihood.

 

Adding that Mechanized farms and Industries will be established for the youths to engage in, as this will reduce poverty, reduce insecurity situation of the country.

 

He urged the people in the country not to allow poverty to push them in to

terrorism, adding that such act was capable of leading the country in to jeopardy.

 

He lamented on the Situation where Nigerians were not cooperating with the government to end insecurity and others challenges in the country.

 

He said further that, Security is a collective responsibility; therefore, it should not be left in the hands of government alone.

 

Olaghere said without peace, security of lives and property, no nation could achieve any meaningful development.

 

He admonish the Nigerian government to create a good atmosphere for foreign

investors, to tap the rich natural and human resources in the country for its mutual benefits.
