Governor Owelle Rochas Okorocha said he has forgiven the Chairman of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Victor Umeh for series of antagonism and blackmail against him.

According to findings from sources, CEOAFRICA.com gathered that Governor Okorocha stated the above as his responds to Ume’s alleged statement that he left the party to pursue anti-igbo agenda in the newly constituted All Progressive Congress (APC).

“I am a detribalized Nigerian who is determined to work in the interest of everyone irrespective of their tribes. APGA is essentially a sectional party and cannot help Ndigbo to achieve national offices or attain leadership positions in this democratic dispensation,” he said.

Governor Okorocha said he would not join issues with Chief Umeh who he said remained his brother and would be welcomed into APC if he so decided.

“I forgive him for all he has said about me and his reaction is predictable. If you lose dozens of your state chairmen and source of livelihood, you are bound to react the same way but I honestly believe that the future of the South-East lies with APC,” he said.

Also, while responding to those who criticized him for joining APC, he said they’ve failed to take account of the fact that no Igbo man was holding any of the six key positions in the current administration of this country.

He then praised the South-Easterners for their constant and undying support for APC and promised that the party would be the true panacea to the development which the zone is agitating to achieve since independence.

He concluded by saying the door of APC is widely opened for members of APGA who wish to team-up in eradicating poverty in the country.
