The All Progressives Congress, Lagos State chapter has rebuked the Federal Government for playing obstinate to the ongoing ASUU strike.

CEOAFRICA news desk gathered that the state interim Publicity Secretary of the APC, Joe Igbokwe, had referred to the unresolved ASUU strike as a display of inability, and that the situation shows that the Peoples Democratic Party-led administration lacks ideas on how to move Nigeria forward.

The party was alleged to have stated that the indifference in PDP had led to the continued deterioration of the nation’s educational sector,  calling on the Federal Government to accede to the demands of ASUU without delay so that students could resume their halted education.

“We, of Lagos APC, decry in the strongest terms, the attitude of the PDP, as a party and the PDP-led Federal Government to the ASUU strike. We see this as one of the many proofs of the incompetence of the PDP in governing Nigeria,” the party stated.

The party however urged Nigerians to “compel the PDP government to stop the present neglect of the educational sector” by adequate funding of the sector as being demanded by ASUU.
