Invest in Agriculture: Ogun State Governor Tells the world

The governor of Ogun state, Nigeria , senator Ibikunle Amosun has called on agricultural investors to come and invest in the state.

The governor delivering his speech at 40th National Council on Agriculture and rural development said that Ogun state, Nigeria is ready for agricultural business as it has the landscape for agriculture and the largest industrial location in Nigeria and West Africa.

He said that the agricultural sector has experienced some progress that will remain unforgettable in Nigeria economy since the minister for Agriculture Dr. Akinwunmi Adeshina assumed office.

He said the Minister has worked hard by making Nigeria the 2nd largest importer of rice in Africa saying that Agriculture should be seen as a viable business venture.

He also commended the efforts of farmers across the country saying have been very cooperative with ogun state government.

Moreover, Governor Amosun said that the inability of government to provide employment for youth is one of the problem facing the country, adding that if the agricultural development should continue with this programs all the youths will be engaged.
