Akwa Ibom State government has revealed its partnership with the Federal Government in commencing the construction of Ibaka Deep Seaport.

This was disclosed by Governor Godswill Akpabio at a gala night organized in honour of Mr. Jeffrey Hawkins, the visiting United State Consul-General in Nigeria.

According to Governor Akpabio, the seaport project is a major industrial concern for Akwa Ibom State.

Akpabio deliberating on the visit of the Consul-General said that the need for continuous partnership between Nigeria and the United States in the promotion of trade and investments was imperative in adding more value to nations economy.
