At the ongoing trial of Kenya’s Vice-President, William Ruto in the International Criminal Court (ICC), a woman begged for police protection after she was wrongly identified as one of the witnesses against Mr. Ruto.

According to CEOAFRICA .com findings from sources, Rahab Muthoni said she fears for her life after her photo was circulated on social media.

Mr. Ruto is standing trial for crimes against humanity which happened after the December 2007 elections, where several lives were lost.

Chief Prosecutor at the ICC, Fatou Bensouda, complained that witnesses are being intimidated, leading to many of them withdrawing from the case.
