97 Died As Storm Hits Mexico

Authorities in Mexico said at least 97 people have been killed by storm which hit the country earlier in the week, CEOAFRICA.com gathered.

In the village of La Pintada, near the Pacific coast, a landslide partially engulfed the town.

At least 15 bodies have been recovered and almost 70 residents are missing, the authorities said.

Also, an helicopter involved in the rescue mission disappeared with three crews onboard. It was said that amid bad weather, the helicopter has to land, but the where about of its crew are unknown.

Meanwhile, Security teams would begin the search for the missing helicopter when the coast is clearer today

Meanwhile, President Enrique Pena Nieto has announced in a statement that he is cancelling a planned trip to the UN in New York next week to focus on relief efforts.
