Fake Vigilant Services arrested in Ogun State ,Nigeria

Twelve suspected fake officials of Ogun State, Nigeria , Vigilante Services were on Monday arrested in Abeokuta for carrying out illegal operations at the detriment of innocent members of the public.

Nemesis caught up with the alleged criminals which include a female member when the authority of the vigilante service swooped on their operational hideout headquarters located in Oke-Ilewo and Itoko areas of the town.

The suspects are: Wasiu Fatola,Abotan Talli,Hakeeb Olajide,Tope Ogunyoyi,Tuned Sowemimi,Toyin Aramide, Segun Adesina, Ramon Akeusola,Obafunmilayo Nojeem,Samson Odunayo,Bammeke Ibukun and Mathew Oyelekun.

The Public Relations Officer of the Ogun State Vigilante Service,Soji Ganzallo who confirmed the arrest of the suspects, informed that arrangement was ongoing as at the time of filing this report to hand over the fake officials to the police.

He said the suspects have been engaging in arresting and detaining people,seizure of motorcycles and extorting money from them without transferring them to the police.

The service spokesman gave identities of those found in the fake officials custody as include: Bunmi Adebayo,Funmilola Oladeinde,Kafayat Popoola and Sakirat Ogunkola.

Exhibits found with them include: 13 mobile phones, 6 identity cards, 8 VGN Pollo shirts, a purse containing sum of N2,430.00,motorcycle keys,4 minute notebook,2 belts,1 carter port and 6 motorcycles.
