Budget Of Tunisian Presidency Cut By 700 Thousand Dinars

The budget allocated to the Presidency of the Tunisian Republic has been reduced by 700 thousand dinars under the supplementary finance bill for 2015.

 It had earlier been slashed to 88 million from 156 thousand dinars in the initial 2015 budget, 87 million 419 thousand dinars in the supplementary budget.

Conversely, the budget of the House of People's Representatives (HPR) has increased from 21 million 714 thousand dinars to 22 million 783 thousand dinars, up one million and 69 thousand dinars.

The budget allocated to the Prime Ministry was also revised upwards, increasing from 147 million 271 thousand dinars to 149 million 962 thousand dinars, i.e. up 2 million 691 thousand dinars.

As for the security and military institutions, the budget of the Interior Ministry has increased from 2 million 615.7 thousand dinars to 2 million 691.3 thousand dinars, while that of the Ministry of National Defence went up from one million 792.2 thousand dinars to one million 921.3 thousand dinars.

With regard to constitutional bodies, one million dinars has been allocated to the Supreme Judicial Council (French: CSM), 11.5 million to the Truth and Dignity Commission (French: IVD) and 28 million to the Independent High Elections Authority (French: ISIE).

The state budget was cut by 1.1 billion dinars, i.e. a budget of 27.7 billion dinars under the supplementary finance bill 2015 against 29 billion dinars.
