Welcome to your favourite ‘do it your way’ platform. The creative style for this week is Veiled Beanie; the sporty, comfy and trendy hat with veil, which shows the difference and beauty between some ‘beanies and beanies.’
You all will agree with me that gone are the days of the classic 1940’s hat or the bride’s white veils. Today, it’s all about this eclectic mix that may have ladies look like demented fashionstas in the eyes of sartorial non-connoisseurs.
The veiled beanies are quite the fad all around the world, as everyone keep rocking them considering the cold weather.
It pertinent to also recall that fashion today, is all about being one’s self and nothing is dated.
Apparently, it comes as no surprise that accessories such as veils, hats or beanies are in the spotlight. More so, they’re mixed and matched into this new trend everyone is clamouring for.
So, why wear a plain beanie when you can always jazz it up with a vintage or not-so-vintage veil? It keeps you warm, look stunning and unique.
Therefore, save yourself cost while following trend by adding any type of veil to any hat or beanie and keep switching the sheer fabric from one to another.
These are what you will need while making the veiled beanie your way: Beanie, a piece of veil, needle, scissors and threads. It is as simple as that and it will give you a beautiful and distinct result.
Step 1: Wrap the veil around your head to get the correct length and cut the veil to that length.
Step 2: Trim the boarders of the veil to make them neat.
Step 3: Fold the veil as pictured on both sides.
Step 4: Wrap the veil around the beanie and attach with pins at the back as shown in the gallery.
Step 5 & 6: Sew into place each end as shown.
Comment on this week style and practise the style. Goodluck!!!
