Luanda - Angolan head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos, defended on Friday in Luanda the need for Angolans "in the course of their lives to find enlightened paths and wisdom in the search for solutions for the problems faced in this difficult period".

The Head of State made this statement while speaking in a reciprocity gesture to the message read by the Vice-President of the Republic, Manuel Vicente, addressed to him on the occasion of his 73 birthday celebrated on Friday.

"We should be the nation's servants and may our people accompany us (...) and may help us in this difficult task entrusted to us, all the best to the Angolans", concluded the Angolan statesman.

The President of the Republic was born on August 28, 1942 in Luanda, and still young integrated the National Liberation Struggle holding important positions within the MPLA and in the government, after the conquest of the independence.
