Luxury travellers will have to pay more for their comfort, as the new tariff levied on non scheduled commercial operators by ministry of Aviation takes effect

Analyst said that the new policy may also affect business of scheduled commercial operators as they are likely to regain some premium travellers they have lost to non-scheduled commercial operators.

Yakubu Dati, spokesman for aviation agencies said ‘’the newly introduced general aviation charges such as landing and parking fees, the en-route navigational charges and the passengers service charge are based on the tariffs that are charged by the operators for their services, noting that this segment of ait transport industry is a major focus of the federal ministry of aviation in its ongoing industry transformation efforts’’.
