Federal Government has ordered security agencies to protect all schools within Yobe State, CEOAFRICA.com gathered.

Also, more fighter jets have been deployed to the state as a way on intensifying crackdown on Boko Haram insurgents who killed more than 40 students of the College of Agriculture in Gujba.

The directive to protect schools covers day and boarding schools throughout Yobe State. This implies that there would not be any shutdown of schools in the state

It was revealed by sources that the troops have been combing every forest in between Yobe and Borno State for some of the insurgents and the use of fighter jets will help to massively destroy them.

Speaking about the directive to protect schools in the State, Defence spokesperson, Brig-Gen. Chris Olukolade confirmed that the mandate has been given by the Federal Government, while security agencies have already mapped out plans to secure the schools and forestall any form of reoccurrence of the sad event in the state.
