A bomb blast has been reported at a warehouse in the Malkohi camp for internally displaced persons in Yola, Adamawa State.

The National Emergency Management Agency confirmed the explosion. It is not yet clear how many casualties the blast has caused.

There are reportedly over 1000 children in the camp, which was set up to accommodate thousands of people displaced as a result of the the insurgency in the northeast.

Emergency services have been deployed to the scene of the explosion.
