Nigeria Flagged-Off Track -Laying of Abuja-Kaduna Rail-Line

The track-laying of the Abuja-Kaduna Rail-Line was flagged off today by the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Arc. Namadi Sambo (GCON), as reported by CEOAFRICA from Abuja, Nigeria.

Speaking at the ceremony, the spokesperson for the contractor handling the project, Mr. Chi said the project would be completed in due time. He also states that the company will engage the services of more than 5,000 Nigerian experts in executing the project.

While delivering the president’s message, Vice President Namadi Sambo described the project as one of the developmental processes ongoing in the country. “The railway transportation has been in comatose for the past thirty years, but through the transformation agenda embarked upon by  Goodluck Jonathan- led administration, this laudable means of transportation is thereby revived for the use of Nigerians.” He then acknowledged the contribution of private investors in making the project a reality.

Dignitaries at the occasion includes the Honourable Minister for Transportation, Sen. Idris Umar, chairman senate committee on land transportation, Sen. Abdulaziz Usman, Chairman House committee Hon. Seriki, Eng. Nebolisa Emordi (Per. Sec. Ministry of Transportation) and many others.

The ceremony was concluded with the launching of the rail-tracks by Vice President Arc. Namadi Sambo (GCON).

The project is being handled by China Civil Engineering Consultant Company.
