Former presidential candidate of the defunct All Nigeria People's Party of Nigeria; Gamaliel Onosode has died at the age of 82.

In a statement signed by the family, Onosode died in early hours of today September 29th.

The renowned technocrat was born 22 May 1933. He chaired several private and public sector businesses and initiatives. He was the Chairman of Dunlop Nigeria Plc, a former chairman of Cadbury Nigeria Plc, the Presidential Commission on Parastatals (1981), Nigeria LNG Working Committee. He was also the Chairman of Zain Nigeria. May his soul rest in peace Amen.
