Three die in Lagos-Ibadan express road accident

Three people were on the eve of eid-il-kabir celebration, Monday lost their lives in auto crash along Lagos-Ibadan express way. The accident which occurred at Soka Bridge, Ibadan, involved a long vehicle with registration number XA 66KDG.

 

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Oluyole Unit Commander, Sanya Adeoye who

confirmed the accident, said four people were trapped inside the vehicle.

Adeoye said only one of them survived while the remaining three died on the spot.

 

According to him, the survivor was been taken to Ibadan Central Hospital for

treatment while the corpses were deposited at Adeoyo State Hospital morgue.

He explained that the long vehicle loaded with sugar was coming from Lagos when the accident occurred at the Soka Bridge, Ibadan.

 

He said the accident was as a result of dangerous driving on the part of driver of a Jeep who was trying to avoid a pothole on the bridge.

Adeoye said the driver of the long vehicle was trying not to hit the Jeep when he fell off from the bridge.
