Oyo State High Court sitting in Ibadan on Tuesday reserved ruling on the land case instituted by some Ibadan families against the Oyo State governor, Abiola Ajimobi, two of his commissioners and two others till November of this year.

The families had instituted the case against Ajimobi and others over the non-release of 404.74 acres of land formerly acquired by the Federal Government to the original owner families.

The two commissioners sued alongside Ajimobi over the 404.74 acres of land that worth over N16bn were the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice and the Commissioner for Land, Housing and Survey.

CEOAFRICA gathered that the presiding judge, Justice Adegboye Gbolagunte will  rule on whether the first plaintiffs/claimants' witness, Ganiyu Lasisi Oladigbolu can tender the letter dated 18th July, 2012 sent by the Minister of Land, Housing and Urban Development releasing the land in dispute to the family before the court or not.

Gbolagunte reiterated the court order, directing all parties to maintain status quo in the case to protect the rest of the case while adjourning the case, declaring that “it is the responsibility of the court to protect the rest of the case before it”.
