Japanese International Cooperation Agency reiterates its readiness to partner with the Kogi state government

LOKOJA_The Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has reiterated its readiness to partner with the Kogi state government in developing key sectors of the state’s economy as well as adding value to the lives of the people.

JICA officials who made this known to ceoafrica.com during a curtsey visit to Kogi state noted that they were in the state to establish a relationship between the agency and the Kogi state government. The partnership would be the first of its kind between JICA and the Kogi state government.

The officials who were in the state at the request of the Kogi state governor Captain Idris Wada took a tour round the state to see the various transformations being carried out by the governor.

The Kogi state governor Captain Idris Wada in his speech, called for the support of The Japanese International Cooperation Agency in the areas of water, health, education, agriculture and rural development adding that rural development would help in cubing the migration of people from the rural areas to the urban areas.    

The JICA officials while expressing optimism that the relationship would be beneficial to both parties thanked the kogi state governor for his support adding that they will ensure the relationship is sustained.

Some of the Japanese International Cooperation Agency officials who visited the state include the chief representative Mr. Seki Tetsuo and Mr. Masato Mikamo amongst others.
